Okay, wow, so I updated with more actual NEW art more frequently than I thought I would!  Check the Most Recent page to see my dump from last night. There’s only about 30-ish new images and some of them are recolors of each other, but hey, at least you’re getting these fresher than normal! :3

New Art Up!

Hey there, everyone! New art up in the Most Recent section! Did a bit of cleaning up around my wordpress install while I was at it, too. Made more Fanart categories for you guys to be all confused about.

Sorry for my lack of updating on anywhere but Deviantart lately. If you follow me on there, a lot of this “new” art is probably going to be old for you. I’m having some problems getting Postavatar to work, so the WordPress end will look a little bland for a hot minute.

You guys might also notice the increase in sort of lesbian-ish and gay-ish art around. This isn’t really anything too new for me, but I’ve kinda been hiding it from almost everyone for a while. While I am female, and I am married to my favorite man ever, I do support LGBTQ interests quite strongly even though the gay card I obtained from my girlfriend back in 2003 is probably expired. Also, I’ve been watching a lot of Revolutionary Girl Utena for the past year or so, so that might account for the bravery as well. Anyway, I’d like to pin a kudos to the state of New York for pushing us further into the 21st century.

Also, since Xenosaga is something I find myself going on and on and on about ad-nauseum, I’d like to direct yalls’ attention to Operation Rainfall. E3 was kind of a kick in the nuts for Xeno fans, where we saw absolutely no sign of Xenoblade being localized. After word of Nintendo of America’s plans not to localize it, Last Story (from the director of Final Fantasy) or Pandora’s Tower (a unique Japanese action game with RPG stylings), my fellow JRPG fans rose up, and are actually doing something about it. Operation Rainfall has letter-writing campaigns going to bombard Nintendo of America (NoA) with requests to localize to prove to them that Japanese RPGs -do- have a market in the US. Honestly,

I’ve always found the term JRPG sort of redundant, being raised on Final Fantasy and DragonQuest. What other sort of video game RPG out there OTHER than a JRPG that isn’t an MMO, or from Bioware? I would say I’d love to slather some blame on G4 and X-Play for making RPG lovers look like inarticulate weeaboo (well, a lot of them ARE badly behaved), but that’s just a tad immature.

I do not play Call of Duty. I do not play Madden. I do not play WoW or Halo, and I am not alone. If you stop advertising something, you lose visibility. If you lose visibility on a product, OH, look at that. It doesn’t sell. Funny thing, self-fulfilling prophecy.  Nintendo can’t wedge me into a sub-sub-sub-culture without me fighting back.

Changed the layout a bit! It looks a little radioactive, so I might tone it down a tad.
Also added about 60 new images into the Xenosaga Fanart folder. Working on re-organizing here. Sorry for my lack of updates! Between work, Godsibb, hojo.org, Knightface and Thanatos Contract, my world has been kinda completely upheaved. I’ve joined tumblr, and when I haven’t been busy reblogging dumb things, I’ve been posting more questionable artworks there. Just look between the inane reblogs. ^^

Hey folks!
I’ve just been informed by one of my friends that a drawing of Carlisle Cullen that I did to give to Peter Facinelli actually got picked up by him and he loves it! ^___^ On the off-chance that you might see this, Mr. Fascinelli, HELLO! And thank you so much!!!!

(Drawing in question has a permanent home on deviantart and has been moved to my perma-feature gallery!)

<div class=\"postavatar\">the-shovel-update</div>

OMG guys, I finally updated The Shovel! I haven’t done it in 2 years, so it’s a biggish deal. Basically all I really did was change the CSS and point a bunch of galleries to their new homes on my wordpress page. It’s working out pretty nicely so far. The only problem I’m having is that my wordpress page acts like it’s got a lot more info than it looks like, and it scrolls down and up slowly. Any wordpress users have this problem?
